The South Seas Plantation is found on Captiva Island, Florida. It is right off the south west coast of the mainland. Getting to Sanibel and Captiva with your Florida car rental can be a little tricky, but it's not impossible! First, to get to Sanibel from the mainland, you need to cross the Sanibel Causeway. There is a $6 toll to get to the island, but there is no cost to get back to the mainland with your Florida car rental. There are two main roads on Sanibel. Taking Periwinkle Way will lead you to Sanibel-Captiva road via Palm Ridge Road or Tarpon Bay Road. This route will take you past some of the most beautiful attractions on the island. You will then cross a short bridge at Blind Pass. Going north, you will arrive on Captiva Island. By continuing on this road with your Florida car rental, you will pass two public beaches, restaurants, shops, and resorts. You have arrived in Captiva.
