Architect Chip Powell designed the first hole to be a forgiving beginning for the round even though he dubbed it ‚'Å“Long Start‚'. Players have five shots to make par on the 571-yard hole.

The No. 17 is nicknamed ‚'Å“Biarritz‚'. This par-3 hole measures 235 yards from the Onyx and 163 from the Ruby. A Biarritz is a French name for a green that has a deep dip in the middle that typically runs from side to side.

The final hole at the Duran is the signature hole. The par-4 dogleg left hole makes for a long and challenging end to the round. A series of bunkers on the fairway's right side makes the fairway look very narrow when you're standing from the back tees.
